These images were captured in Grapevine Canyon. Grapevine Canyon is in the Newberry Mountains, above Lake Mohave, in Nevada. There are hundreds, maybe thousands, of petroglyphs in the canyon that date back many hundreds of years. There are several springs located in the canyon and some will be flowing on one visit and others on another visit. The availability of water in the canyon means that you can quite often see various wildlife when visiting the canyon. These images were captured during a hike with my friends EJ and Mark on October 17th 2007, a beautiful fall day.
