I was one of a small group of people who were selected to participate in a Bighorn Sheep workshop which was put on by the Arizona Game and Fish Department on August 5th & 6th, 2011. The 5th was a couple of hours in a class-room where we learned some interesting things about Bighorn Sheep. On the 6th, I drove to Willow Beach, Az on the Colorado River about thirteen miles south of Hoover Dam. Game & Fish had boats waiting and we boarded and headed north. It took a little over three hours to go up to the dam and back down to Willow Beach. Because of the scarcity of water in these parts and because it gets so hot here, in the summer, the Bighorn Sheep come down to the river.
